Obtaining a Bachelor of Professional Arts in Human Services

Students who are obtaining this degree at a university in Canada, pick one of three areas of specialization, which is made up of 18 credits. The areas of specialization are:

  1. Leadership (18 credits) Made up of communications, management, finance and social change courses.
  2. Public Policy Contexts (18 credits) Made up of Canadian government law, society and healthy communities courses
  3. A Changing Environment (18 credits) Made up of holistic approaches to community roots and sources, methodology and research.
In total, 30 credits in total must be taken out of 120 from Athabasca University in order for the degree in Bachelor of Professional Arts in Human Services to be granted.
