November 30, 2007, Newsletter Issue #44: College Costs in Canada

Tip of the Week

College in Canada usually costs less than university. Canadian community colleges are publicly-run colleges so their tuition costs are kept low. Private career colleges are privately-owned and operated and do not receive government funding or subsidies.

Paying for college in Canada need not be difficult. Many distance colleges allow students to pay for their tuition in monthly installments and do not do credit checks.

Private colleges with heftier tuition fees for specialized training will assist students with applying for Canadian student loans and other sources of funding.
